My first Swiss championship.

Now, after a week it's not as easy to write a report yet, because the event is indeed almost everything already said here and read.

The Final from the Master´s 2010

For the final on Friday was announced a little less wind from east-southeast as Thursday.

The Yugo was so with 8-12 knots and therefore we could start on time at 12 clock. Light Direction of flow facilitated the startup procedure. Unfortunately, by the randomly chosen random groups, the Medailienanwärter separated completely. So DEN 6, SVK 1 and GBR 2 are in my group. In my opinion something stronger group to CZE 1, ITA 2, AUT 7 and SUI 5, sailed the first day's races to go and it was already clear to see that the left side of the cross promised more success.

At the start I oriented myself while more right, because my competitors chose to sail but more to the left in order to benefit from the advantages of the site. Richard Hart is the later winner of the "Legends" (the 70 year old participants sailed) more consistently to the left and I could fight the entire downwind leg with Him to a place at the Leemarke. Such events make the race the master's not just a sporting event but also just a very emotional experience. The subsequent ceremony, especially the "Legends" has impressed me accordingly. Actually, as every year, but this time it was for me, also through this 6th Races, especially close.

Well, the results of the day speak for themselves. While I am spending spree with only two points, it went in the other group a little more to the point. In the end, it was clear that to date the second position and great sailing ITA 2 at the slightly stronger wind conditions could not be said and # 7 overall fell back. SUI 5 has ranked three, improving on the podium and AUT 7 could prove the somewhat thankless 4 total space, with him the victory in the "Grand Master" rating sure compensated.

Michael Meier was able to confidently assert as Master in 2010, his performance this year, there was argument about that. My congratulations and a promise to him in the next year to offer the sporting rivalry match this. I am happy, my little bumpy start in the World Cup with the second place to have finished.

In my opinion a bit undecided on further participation after the third Title 2009, I have now decided to continue this competition and of course, remain faithful to the Finnklasse and next to the result so important just to enjoy the experience even more.

I thank all Finnsailors and friends for your good wishes and especially my family for their support and understanding of the many "absenteeism".

Today was again a beautiful sailing day and so the EM in 2010 to the end.

The results of the German team we can dont no satisfaction, only Jan, who was in the strong field with good ideas and space and completed 28. Christoph finished in the junior a very good 5th place.

There is much to do on the international stage at the forefront of attacking, I think we will draw the right conclusions after a thorough evaluation.

I found also a lot of weaknesses in me and knows what to do in the next week.

Despite the many unpredictable weather this week, but I am very on my season highlight, the Master's Cup in the same place - 1 Start at 24.05. by 12 clock.

A successful team, the key to success

For the third year in a row I was able to win the Master's Finnklasse, this would be particularly without the support of my family and of course my friend Pata (Antal Gabor) not have been possible.
